Dear Community Association Manager,As you know, legislation was recently passed requiring residential condominium associations existing on or before July 1, 2022, that are unit owner controlled, to have a Structural Integrity Reserve Study (SIRS) completed for all buildings that are three or more stories in height by December 31, 2024 (s. 718.112(2)(g), F.S.).Associations who were required to complete a SIRS were also required to report the completion of the SIRS to the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation by December 31, 2024.A list of condominium associations that have submitted the completion of a SIRS is published on the Department’s SIRS Reporting Database, available here. If you represent an association that was required to report the completion of a SIRS but does not appear in the database, please report it here. For more information on SIRS and other condominium requirements and resources, visit Condos.MyFloridaLicense.com.Thank you for your time and assistance with this important matter.Sincerely, |
